Welcome to this year's Pay it Forward Festival Website. We hope you find what we are doing to be beneficial to our community, our country, and our world by using our "extras" to provide neccesities to our brothers and sisters in desperate need of them. We believe that just a little effort from each of us could be enough to solve our world's most difficult challenges. Most importantly however, is to teach the youth that having fun and helping others can go hand in hand. We provide local business, groups, and organizations an opportunity to promote themselves at the Festival at NO cost. Admission for the public: Canned food items or "gently worn" shoes. Our Big Goal-Help start localized community festivals worldwide.
Local companies Discount Tire and Security Title and Escrow have graciously sponsored this event for the 2 previous years and contribute most of the money raised. All money raised by the Festival is divided amoung our 6 annual charities after the minimal cost of the event itself is paid. Many other local "community minded" companies contribute through the silent auction donation program or gift certificate donations. As a business, you are invited to attend at NO COST and promote your business as long as you provide some benefit to the Festival as a whole and raise $ on location for the Festival. Our goal is always to find a "win win" for everyone involved. We just need the community to step up and participate. Creativity is always welcome and there are many ways anyone, any group, or any company can "Pay it Forward" at the Festival.
Admission for the public is simply a donation of a slightly worn/new pair of shoes or a canned food item. The shoes will be distributed world-wide by Soles4Souls and the food is donated locally to The Well Food Pantry in Spring Hill. Bring out the family for tons of fun and see how we are creating "WIN WIN" situations for our community, local businesses, our 7 important charity groups, and most importantly,our children. We are doing what most all good people want to do, but just don't know how or where to do it. You are welcome to join our cause. We need all the help we can get.
Last year's festival, in only its 2nd year of existence, collected approximately 1850 pair of shoes and donated over $3000 to the selected charities. Plus, it was a total blast for everyone who attended. This year our goal is to double that. We hope anyone who would like to join our group would contact Darrell Digby at digby@realtracs,com or just show up to a meeting. Meetings are held each Thurs. from 6-7pm in the Spring Hill office of Exit Realty (near Blockbuster, behind Wendy's).
