We have 4 major goals that are the foundation of the Festival.
1. To teach our children and youth about their responsibility to our community, our nation, and our world in regards to giving back to help those people who are in need. To show them that "having fun" and helping others can go hand-in-hand. Explain that we are blessed and have many extras that mean little to us, but would be a huge help for someone else is usually overlooked and untaught.
2. Create a stronger community by providing the opportunity for local businesses and the public to interact, do some creative thinking, and establish new relationships that can be beneficial to all. Show them that by creating "win win" relationships between truly caring individuals, local businesses, and charitable organizations, EVERYONE involved benefits.
3. Raise over $6,000 for this year's selected charities, collect more than 3,000 pair of shoes for Soles4Souls, and give 200 pounds of food to The Well food pantry in Spring Hill. These amounts would double last year's count and we feel is very obtainable. The ONE thing you can count on is a great day of fun, enjoyment, live music; and no telling who may show up.
4. The Big Dream of the Festival is to establish a formula that can be reproduced in any city throughout the country and in any community across the world. To spread the word about "Pay it Forward" and show how we can come together as a community, celebrate, and help others by using its principles. The idea is simple and only takes time, not money, to make this happen in any community. We use the Trading system to benefit all involved. The rewards are priceless for the organizers and volunteers as well.
